Meet Miss Madelyn
My Story
Hi! I’m Madelyn, and teaching children has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
For the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching piano lessons to children of all ages. During those years, I discovered that one of my favorite parts of teaching wasn’t just helping children learn new skills—it was watching their confidence grow.
As I earned my degree in English, I spent much of my education learning how children learn and how meaningful teaching experiences are created. That foundation, combined with years of working with children, inspired me to open Little Explorers Preschool.
I truly believe every child deserves a classroom where they feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Why I Started Little Explorer's
Ever since I was a little girl, I remember thinking, “When I grow up, I never want to forget what it’s like to be a kid.”
That thought has stayed with me all these years.
Children experience joy, excitement, disappointment, frustration, curiosity, and accomplishment just as deeply as adults do. Their feelings are real, and they deserve to be heard, understood, and encouraged.
I created Little Explorers Preschool because I wanted children to have a place where they feel safe to ask questions, celebrate their successes, work through challenges, and discover just how capable they are.
More than anything, I hope every child leaves my classroom believing in themselves.

Reading is one of my favorite activities!
In almost all of my spare time you can find me hiking, backpacking, or camping
Baking from scratch is a huge passion that I bring into the classroom
I'm a mom to one and hopefully more to come (so I know what it takes to leave your child with someone else)
